Terry Pratchett

You all know about JRR Tolkien or JK Rowling, but have you heard of Terry Pratchett?

There's a TV series based on one of his novels in which the Hogfather, the Discworld equivalent to Father Christmas, has gone missing, and Death is forced to take his place, while his granddaughter Susan attempts to find out what happened. If you like fantasy, here is a video of Part 1:

2nd Language

Hi, again!
Today I'd like you to take notes on the Present Perfect
which will replace the "famous" photocopies.
So, first of all, let me introduce you to the ...
Present Perfect Simple!

And further practice.

And some vocabulary for a change. Let's revise and extend your knowledge of
Hotel and Restaurant Language.

If you finish soon, go back to last week's class or
practise the infinitive and gerunds we are learning in class.
Have a nice day!

Have you seen "As good as it gets"?

This is the film I mentioned in our 2nd Language class, and the actor who reminded me of the Englishman. It's a great film, which I'd highly recommend to you

Failed Holdup

This scene from one of Woody Allen's early films "Take the Money and Run" should be easy to understand as they keep repeating the same things over and over again. Am I right?

Infinitive or Gerund?

Exercises: 1, 2, 3
