The Sunshine Award!

I was away on a school trip when I got the news that I have been nominated by my dear colleague Esther Martínez for The Sunshine Award.
I'm surprised and really flattered! Thank you so much for having thought of my blog for the nomination.

The Sunshine Award is an award given to bloggers by other bloggers.
 It is awarded to:

"Bloggers who are positive
and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere"

Well, as with other similar awards, there are certain rules to keep to:
1. Include the award logo in your site.
2. Answer seven questions about yourself.
3. Nominate 5 to 10 other wonderful bloggers.
4. Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blog, letting them know they are
5. Share the love and link with the person who nominated you.

There are lots of fantastic bloggers doing a great job out there and choosing just a few is really difficult but here are my nominees in no particular order:

Esther Martínez and My English scrapbook  for her inspiring posts on different aspects of the English language, ICT and culture. Thanks for being such a generous colleague as well, Esther!

Pilar Pamblanco and her Think and dream in English  for sharing her deep knowledge of education and ICT.

David Mainwood and his blog EFL Smart Blog full of excellent, ready-to-use class ideas.

Aurora Jove for Think in English, a veteran blog full of entertaining resources and amazing ideas for kids all ages.

Silvia Nayen and Escuela 25 del 12, another superb ESL blog for primary school students.

And, because English isn't everything in life...:

Richard Byrne writer of Free technology for teachers. Name an ICT resource and he will have told the teaching community about it.

Carmen Cid Manzano and her Science blogs for different levels. I'll just mention one of them: Entérate, a ciencia tamén é cultura where her students publish Science-related news.

Daniel Veiga and his awesome Barbón Blog, which has all the information any student might ever need to learn from a school counsellor and much more.

These are just some of the teachers and bloggers whose work I follow. The list could go on...

Now a few things about me...

1. Favourite colour:
It's got to
2. Favourite animal:
I can't choose one...dogs, horses, tigers -not as pets though ;)
3. Favourite number:
Maybe 1
4. Favourite non-alcoholic drink:
5. Favourite alcoholic drink:
Being a Spaniard, I'd say wine. Red or white depending on the occasion.
6. Facebook or Twitter:
Right now Twitter. I find lots of people I share interests with and useful information there.
7. My passions:
Reading, travelling, politics,
... just to mention some. I don't think I could live without music.
8. Giving or receiving gifts?
I feel far less embarrassed when giving
9. Favourite city or country?
That's a tough one. Venice perhaps. It's unique.
10. Favourite book?
Impossible to choose one! I love 20th and 21st American literature, but it wouldn't be fair to mention just one book or writer, so don't get me started!

Congratulations to all my nominees! Now it's your turn to spread the positive flow and send the sunshine to other fantastic and inspiring bloggers!
